KRASTA 9.9.0 available
17.03.2025Dear subscribers and KRASTA customers,
Version 9.9.0 is available for all customers with an active support and maintenance contract at our customer's area at http://www.krasta.de (blue "login" box at top right).
KRASTA 9.9.0 includes compared to KRASTA 9.8.6 among others the following enhancements, improvements and corrections:
FS#1917
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Pretension state.
With the new object "pretension state", beams or nodes can be pretensioned to a target value for a certain load case.
Evaluation is the based on the pretensioned state, if the pretension state is active in the situation to be evaluated.
Example: A structure is braced while dead weight of the structure already acts. The bracings are pretensioned to a certain normal force, considering the normal force due to dead weight. For evaluation all further loads are based on the pretension state.
Pretension states can also be used as a load case generator for a basic load case with loads that reach the defined pretension state when combined with the base load case of the pretension state.
FS#1909
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Display of DXF drawings in the graphics window.
DXF srawings can be imported for visual model verification in the graphics window.
The imported drawings can pe positioned, scaled and switched on and off as required.
It is recomende to reduce the drawing to essential parts before the import.
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Commands for mouse side buttons.
Command of fourth mouse button: Switch between node and beam selection.
Command of fifth mouse button: Activate or deactivate orbit.
FS#211
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: More keybord shortcuts (hotkeys).
More keyborad shortcuts are available. See manual for a complete list.
FS#1028
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Node and beam selection mode "Exclusiv".
Additionally to "select", "deselect" and "invert" the mode "exclusiv" is available.
In the mode, the current selection is cleared before the selection process.
Only the nodes or beams selected in the latest selection process are in the current selection.
FS#1611
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Context menu for object selection boxes.
For object selection boxes (comboboxes) a context menu is available via right mouse button. This context menu provides standard actions for this object type like "Edit", "Copy" and so on. For "Display settings" and "Projection settings" selection boxes in the button bar (left above the object tree), the entry "[Save as ...]" is omitted therefore.
FS#1711
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Object tree view con be configured.
For the object tree view, font type, font size and indentation can be configured. Main menu: "Optiona" > "Administration" > "Tree View ..."
FS#1751
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Evaluation Pattern: New option 'expand lists in advance' added to 'evaluate each line separately'.
The option 'expand lists in advance' controls whether entries with lists of situation or load events are to be expanded internally to several lines before evaluation.
FS#1867
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Output of unit stresses/resistance values per point of proof of stresses.
From the cross-section dialoges, a table of the unit stresses or resistance values of each (active) point of proof of stresses can be opened.
FS#1873
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Text output: 'Copy to clipboard' can be limited to selected lines.
The selection is made with the left mouse button in the line number area.
The selection is independent from the content and is kept even during text updates.
FS#1953
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Cross sections according to russian standard GOST R 57837-2017
FS#1953
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Translational acceleration with linear gradient.
Translational acceleration loads can be defined using a linear gradient.
FS#2011
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Kinematic target "Spatial distance".
FS#2068
New in KRASTA 9.9.0: Cross sections according to chinese standard GB/T 706-2016
FS#246
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Results of static solver (PAS) are stored in new format.
The former size limit of 2GB for the result file is removed.
The new format is used if there is no result file of the old format. For recalculation of an existing model it is recommended to the delete an old result file (*.po).
FS#344
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Further options to distort the geometry.
Additional to stretching the selected geometry in one direction, it can also be streched/scaled radial and spatial.
FS#525
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Reassigning situations and situation list in evaluation pattern of results and proofs.
In eevaluation pattern of results and proofs, situations and situation lists can be replaced.
Existing entries in these evaluation pattern do not have to be deleted and inserted again.
FS#1219
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Combination factor 0 (zero) in mass and load cases.
In mass and load cases the combination factor 0 (zero) may be used. For instance, individual entries in combinations can be switched off (temporary) without deleting the corresponding entry from the combination.
FS#1888
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Multiple modal analysis result sets
So far only the last result set of a modal analysis was available for evaluation.
Now multiple result sets for multiple mass cases and/or situations can be stored and evaluated..
FS#1957
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Extended measuring
The are more options to measure distances, coordinates and angles with an extended result output.
FS#2006
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Further options to align the geometry.
Additionally to aligning nodes onto a straing line, nodes can be moved onto a cylinder surface or the surface of a sphere.
FS#2033
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: PAS internally calculates partly with increased precision.
This may lead to very small, statically non-relevant numerical changes of the result values.
Even smallest changes may lead to other, but statically equivalent governing load events.
FS#2034
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: KRASTA default setting regarding the handling of inactive beams is now 'not totalized, marked'.
For the solution, always a static system without the inactive members (and indirectly inactive nodes, if applicable) is passed to the solver.
Thus, the static system does not know loads and masses on inactive members and nodes.
Independently of this, you can at any time specify whether or not loads and masses on inactive members and nodes should be taken into account when balancing load and mass totals.
For this purpose use the menu item 'Options | Handling of inactive beams...'.
FS#2067
Improvement in KRASTA 9.9.0: Cross section values according to EN 10210
For standard hollow sections according to EN 10210, the cross section values are now the standard values.
So far, the cross section values were calculated values similar to parametric cross sections.
Already imported cross sections will not be updated.
If necessary, standard cross sections need to be imported again and applied to the corresponding beams.
FS#2050
Error: 'Convert to KLF' ignores (+-) entries when checking whether the conversion is permitted.
Revision effective with 9.8.7: KRASTA now rejects the conversion of logic load cases into combination load cases if they contain (+-) entries.
FS#2071
Error: Conical beams ignore the stiffness reduction factor 'gamma_m' when calculated according to second-order theory.
Revision effective with 9.8.7: KRASTA now works as intended.
FS#2094
Error: Rope load case: Display and total load balance ignores inactive beams and nodes.
Revision effective with 9.8.7: KRASTA now reports missing and inactive guide nodes of a rope load case.
A detailed list with further changes and corrections is available in the customer area.
Kind Regards
