Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Result filters can now be completely or partially deactivated.
Filters can be (temporarily) deactivated without losing the definiton.
FS#1088
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Colours of beam axes and joints are retained for selected beams.
FS#1106
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: The plot file view dialog now also shows the additional plot text.
FS#1155
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: "View Up" and "System Up" is now distinguished.
Previously, an 'Up' direction was changed via 'Cyclic interchange of coordinate axes' (see tool bar) and the current 'Up' direction was saved and changed with the projection settings (e.g. 'Dimetrie').
At the same time, the default directions for gravity and wind profiles were (mis)adjusted.
Now, KRASTA distinguishes between "View Up", which is saved with the projection instructions, and "System Up", which provides the default directions for gravity and wind profiles.
The "View Up" can still be changed via the tool button 'Cyclic interchange of projection axes', but now without changing "System Up".
To change "System Up", the menu item "Options | 'System Up' Direction..." is provided.
FS#1219
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: KRASTA now accepts combination factors = 0.0.
A combination factor of 0.0 may be used in mass and load cases, e.g. to set components (temporarily) "inactive", without having to remove them from the list.
FS#1235
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: View Factor for Border Lines can be stored for each Proof-/Result individually.
In the Result/Proof dialog the current global View Factor for Border Lines from the display setting was shown and could be edited. Now, the View Factor is stored with the Result/Proof.
FS#1264
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: PAS internally calculates partly with increased precision.
This may lead to very small, statically non-relevant numerical changes of the result values.
Even smallest changes may lead to other, but statically equivalent governing load events.
FS#1413
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Rounding of node coordinates can now be controlled in detail.
It is now possible to select single or all components of the location vector for rounding.
The underlying coordinate system can be specified freely in regard to orientation, origin and type (cartesian, cylindrical, spherical).
FS#1451
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: The graphical representation of connections and contacts is now more easily distinguishable from that of the beam structure.

The input is now done in a more natural order. Notes have been added.
FS#1525
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: KRASTA now looks in %APPDATA%\KRASTA\ for a license file.
The license file can still be installed in the KRASTA program folder (side by side to KRASTA.exe), but this usually requires administrator rights.
As an alternative, the license file can now also be installed in the windows user specific application data folder %APPDATA%\KRASTA\. This usually requires no administrator rights.
FS#1535
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: In result filters, it is now possible to filter for points for proof of stresses of welding points.
Up to now weld point numbers have been excluded from the formulation. Now, an additional filter criterion 'weld' is available.
FS#1545
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Customization of graphical selection (picking).
The menu item "Options | Selection-Settings..." allows to customize details of the graphically interactive selection of nodes or beams.
FS#1555
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Less text for constant border lines.
For border lines of results that are constant over the entire beam, the value is displayed only once (centered) instead of displayed at each section.
FS#1595

Relative Orientations can now be converted into Orientation Modifications and vice versa.
FS#1621
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Display: Individual selection of beam and node lists.
The display of internal forces, beam deformations and bending line as well as the display and summation of loads and masses, can now be individually restricted with a separate beam list.
FS#1636
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Orientation dialog: Modification of an entry simplified.
Depending on the type of the currently selected entry in the Modification List, a [Reassign] button is available.
FS#1623
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: More convenience when choosing the mode (eigen) shape to display.
If available, a list of natural modes (number and their natural frequencies) is offered for selection.
However, a user-defined number can be entered freely.
FS#1671
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Filter: Additional comparison options 'Unequal' and 'Magnitude Unequal'.
To ease the formulation of evaluation filters, the logical inversions of the already existing comparison options 'Equal' and 'Magnitude Equal' are available.
FS#1674
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0:Improved contraint conditions solver.
The solver for constraint conditions has been revised and is now numerically more stable and significantly more performant.
In addition, now algorithmic details and permissible violations (tolerances) are configurable.
See manual, chapter "Contrained Conditions Solver - Options".
FS#1729
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Display of tab-separated texts has been improved.
Tabs in the text are now replaced by the appropriate number of spaces.
This makes the displayed text easier to read. In addition, the display no longer flickers when scrolling.
The hint '(Tab.)' may appear in the header of the display window.
FS#1734
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Display -> Load/Mass: Nodes are now explicitly selected via node list.
In the past, only the beams were explicitly selected via a beam list and all associated nodes were implicitly selected.
FS#1753
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Coloured highlighting of inconsistent entries.
In some dialogs (e.g. for parametric cross-sections), inconsistent entries are highlighted in colour and usually an explanation is displayed.
Unusual or unfitting entries will be highlighted in yellow and incorrect or invalid entries in red.
FS#1737
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Modal analysis: MOD.exe now uses a new solver.
The new solver is numerically more stable and significantly more performant.
FS#1759
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Modal analysis: All types of beam masses are distributed 'consistently'.
So far, only the so called 'permanent mass' part (= mass factor * density * cross-sectional area) was applied 'consistently' to the node degrees of freedom.
Other beam mass types from (explicitly) concentrated or distributed beam masses have been transformed to beam end point masses (maintaining the center of mass).
Now all types of beam masses are applied 'consistently' to the node degrees of freedom.
E.g. a beam point mass now in general cause, as opposed to earlier, a rotational moment of inertia at the node degrees of freedom.
FS#1764
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Modal Analysis: MOD.exe now calculates completely with double precision.
FS#1801
Improvement in KRASTA 9.8.0: Short name of the displayed quantity included in palette window.
A detailed list with further changes and corrections is available in the customer area.
Kind Regards
